I have broken my sword beneath my feet and now I climb
Into the heights of the world
Hand over hand
Eagle-high I rise
Into the Eyries of the Sun
Slumbering, stone cold
A house of rising forgotten
Wind tears me in two, bitter words
As I greet
The bare face of the Wild
Sky, naked and fearless
Stone, black knives
Snow, churns here
Furious
Above the earth, of the earth
I climb on
Worlds turn beneath me
Breathless, beautiful
I shape suns, cast moons
Hot in the furnace of my soul
Man hungers to climb, longs to search
For that what once was
For that what is
For that what is yet to come
I am Man, and this is my search, my aim
I will stride through the dying fireflies of faith and make my hollow home upon the crown of the world.
Amazing!
